Very helpful study guide! This is the only study guide I use in preparation for the math 4-8 exam. I passed just this last week! (I started studying about 2 weeks before the exam...I really cranked through most of the review in the 4 days right before exam). It gives you a short, yet complete, overview of all the key concepts needed for the exam.The questions on my exam were a little different but if you knew the rules or formula to use then you would be fine. I would recommend going through all the review material they provide and making a formula sheet of your own... and at least skimming through a set of free practice questions from the TExES website. I also googled a few Kahn Academy videos when I wanted a more thorough explanation of how to solve certain problems. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I would not have passed this exam without this study guide.**Note - You ARE provided a short formula sheet on the exam, which I didn't realize until a day prior to exam, but it only includes basic area and volume formulas. Also, make sure you check out the online calculator tutorials from the TExES website so you know how to use it!
I wish it had more sample problems and better explanations. I also found some mistakes in the practice test area with the answers like on #128. It’s just a lot of money to me to spend on a study book so I expect top quality.
