I could't put the book down once I began the second chapter! Did not have the time to read, but I made the time because I was fascinated by the characters and could not wait for the next twist. Well written. Can't wait to read another of his books.
I highly recommend this book if you are into crimes and the trial that follows. This is right up there with James Grisham and David Balduchi. All the characters are real and likeable...keeps you on the edge of your seat. And OMG....I was holding my breath waiting for the verdict!! But the true ending was startling and jaw dropping. I can't wait to read the next book. Enjoy this one!!!!
I have many books by this author and find them very compelling. I find myself reading for hours. Look forward to the next book
My first Stephen Penner novel and thoroughly enjoyable. Fantastic courtroom dialogue and excellent depth with many rules and procedures. Talon Winter is easy to like and pull for. Would have liked the court case itself to have presented more balanced evidence but all in all a very worthwhile and enjoyable read.
I was s bit hesitant on buying this book, but I read nothing but good reviews. I actually loved this book and hope this is a start to a new series. I look forward to reading about this character more. I have always enjoyed his other series.
I was immediately attracted to the story and the main character who carried me through court procedures to the final end.I read Book 2 with the same deep attraction. an excellent writer produced these books.
I loved this book/story. I enjoy court settings. This story gave me plenty of that. Talon a brave one to go out on her own. She and Curt, her investigator have a special bond. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Legal Thrillers. I love all the Penner books. If you haven’t read the David Brunelle series it’s a must.
