This book is really helpful for a wide variety of child behavioral problems. I purchased the book when I found all our local child therapists were booked up. What I learned by reading this book was much more useful than expensive therapy appointments.Obviously every child is very different but if your kid's behavior is driving you nuts, you will find SOMETHING in this book that will help you achieve quick results. If nothing else, you'll feel some relief by reading about parents that inevitably have it worse than you. After just 10 pages, you'll find yourself saying 1) that's a really useful technique and/or 2) wow! at least my kid's not THAT messed up compared to that kid in the example on page x... ;)
Excellent and very helpful!
I recently attended a lecture by Dr. Golstein at Harvard. I picked up this book since I work in the mental health field with children. The book reveals the manifestations of anger and gives clear scenarios for parents on how to resolve and handle anger situations with their children. Drs. Goldsein and Brooks provide great examples to help parents help children succeed at school and at home. This is an excellent book for teachers as well.
